About the Department:

The faculty of commerce is set up by the Government of Uttarakhand in 2007. It aspires to achieve excellence in commerce education by using innovative teaching methods, promoting high quality research and practicing sustainable development of students.

The faculty currently conducts certification for only one undergraduate course; Bachelor of   Commerce (B. Com.). The course aims at providing required level of knowledge and skills in accounting, management, finance, marketing, taxation, business economics and business laws etc. The course is a 3year undergraduate program divided into six semesters; two semesters in each year. Each semester is of around 90 day’s duration.

Vision: To be the premier faculty of college for the developing and nurturing competent students in the field of commerce.

Mission: The Mission of the faculty is to develop qualified and competent students primarily through a process of education, training, examination, counseling and continuing professional development programs. In line with the Mission, the department has been offering a bouquet of courses for capacity building of the students.
